This is hands down one of the best Japanese restaurants in the valley. If you have a chance to go while you're in town, I would highly recommend. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Be sure to try the Negamaki appetizer, you will not regret it. All of the sushi we had was fresh, and the presentation was phenomenal.
Above all, and most importantly, food and service was excellent!
We ordered 2 of the vegan appetizers (the Vegan Ahola Roll was absolutely fantastic!), 3 of the vegan entrees, and was able to sub meat on one of the items off the regular menu (many substitutions available for vegans and vegetarians alike).
My family and I went to this place because they supposedly had a great vegan selection of their menu. Apparently, they have a COMPLETELY separate and dedicated vegan menu! If you want to make sure that what you are eating has only plants in it, this place is a great choice when visiting Carbondale.
Can't say enough good things about this place. Outstanding food. Great service. Tableside preparation. Very romantic for a date. The atomic shrimp is unbelievable!
Probably the only criticism I have: I do agree with other reviews that, for the price, portion sizes may be smaller than expected, especially the entree I ordered, the Maui Onion Stir Fry. Absolutely delicious, but expected just a bit more food @ $16. Generally though, portions were fair.
Overall, definitely a great place to eat, especially if you have dietary restrictions.
It isn't elite level sushi, but it's delicious and the least expensive in the valley.
Don't know what the other reviews on here are griping about, but the experience my family and I had was pretty awesome.

Place is decorated very fun: cool lighting, asian art, etc. It's clean and feels comfy. We were greeted and seated right away.
