Sandwiches are a little weird. The music was great and employees were very enthusiastic.
This place is always dirty and the hours are inconsistent. On the door and on their website are not accurate!!! The last 4 times I've tried to eat here it has been before 4pm (which is their closing time on the website and posted on the door) but they have either been closed or unable to make me a sandwhich because they already started closing down. Really really disappointed...
The deli was so good and fresh ingredients uses on salads as well as the Reuban. Love the local place that gives back. Told us they give to homeless and churches as not to waste. The marble rye was baked fresh and you could tell! The guy comped our drinks for not having visited before. If you come to Carbondale, you must eat here!!!
Heidi's is the sandwich shop I go to every time I'm home and it never changes. The sandwiches are large and filling.the ingredients are always delicious. The only down side is when they get busy, the esthetics get a little dirty. Nothing uncommon for a small place with a lot of customers.
So so. Good sandwiches, but I wasn't overly impressed by the quality or taste. Steep prices. Upcharge for anything other than Lays chips.. chips.. those should be free in my opinion, especially for the cost of the meal.
