As said before, never been through again, unsure if/when I will ever be through again, but if I am, coming back. And I better not have to drive next time.
Ordered a torta, was tasty as hell. Beer was tasty as hell. Dreads Waiter was on the spot with new beers and hot sauces for the torta. An hour+ went by in the blink of an eye, and unfortunately, we had to roll out. I was driving, but the girlfriend had a few beers and was loving each one.
Beautiful day to visit: warm for May, bright sun, a slight breeze in the early afternoon that brought through the aroma of cooked meats and hops right onto a patio that was built for just chillin' out on. Which we did.
I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area!
Only one TV over the bar, but there is a big screen in the dining area and another smaller TV with the high tops, so probably not a place to sit and watch sports all day, but it worked for me as I just wanted to watch Monday Night Football.
Really delicious and super fast service. Perfect refuel from Aspen to Glenwood Spgs.
The beer and food were both above average. Nice atmosphere and the patio is dog friendly. They had a creative cocktail menu, but we didn't get to try any of them. The service was hit-and-miss. Our waitress was really nice half of the times she stopped by our table, and kinda rude the other half of the times. Overall, I would recommend it.
Never been to Carbondale. Maybe I drove through years ago, but sorta doubt it. It is out of the way of where I am 99.99% of the time, but finally had a chance to come through on a weekend in Glenwood. The girlfriend and I actually specifically bookmarked Carbondale Beer Works to visit, and was our first stop in town.
This dreadlocked, tall dude comes outside to greet us again and hand us menus. Guy was laidbacked (maybe on beer, maybe on whatever else is legal in the area), but chill and polite and nice and informative and prompt and and and...well...just fit the bill for letting us hang. Nothing worse than a server who is always there and overly-talkative and all that jazz.
We wandered indoors and were warmly greeted by a smiling bartender who said "everything is still on tap, nothing is out, let me know if you want to sample anything!" Killlleerrrrr. We ordered a wit and a red ale and wandered outside.
Stopped in here for dinner as I was staying overnight for a business meeting the next day and I'm really glad I did. The space is cozy and clean, plus it just so happened I walked in on Burger Night (free beer with the purchase of a burger). The beer menu is expansive with some really good house brews and guest taps, so I was happy to see there was plenty to choose from. The menu looked like it had some really good dishes on it as well, and from what I could tell based on the plates that were coming out of the kitchen they looked delicious as well. I ordered the burger, which was seasoned and cooked perfectly! The service was top notch as well.
Amazing food and beer. One of the best burgers I've had.
Should have filled a growler... damn it.
